I like martinis. Not the standard dirty martini; I prefer the unique concoctions bartenders shake or stir: appletinis, chocotinis, french martinis (more on my love of french martinis in this post). And then a few months back Flipside Burger in Fairfield was recommended by a friend, and I discovered the Grinchtini.
Think…a thinmint cookie that you can drink!
Made with Three Olives Chocolate vodka, green creme de menthe, white creme de cocoa, and cream in a chocolate crusted rimmed glass, it’s so good, it would even make the Grinch himself smile!
If you aren’t a fan of mint, I’d suggest a few other martinis: Apple pie martini, Sparkling pomegranate Martini, Creamscicle, Espresso, Cappuccino, Chocolate, and S’more. Yes, I said S’more.
And if you feel like a French martini (one of my favorites!), Flipside has their own version: the Flippedtini.
A Flipside Tips: Flipside also frequently creates martinis which are not on the regular menu, such as the “Strawberry Cake Pop Martini” (this photo is from Flipside’s Facebook page and featured not too long ago).
So, the next time you’re in the mood for a martini that is sure to be unique and delicious consider heading over to Flipside Burger. The hardest part of your visit will be deciding which martini to try first!
Happy Hour at Flipside is from 3-6pm Monday – Saturday at the bar and on the patio: drafts, bottle beers, house wine, cocktails, specialty drinks are 1/2 price (top shelf not included), monster drinks are $20, and small plates are $3. Flipside’s food is just as good as their specialty drinks – stay tuned readers!
